Stingray hide is the closest thing to looking like a life form from another galaxie ,we'll find here on earth. There is no hide as tough.It breaks a dozen needles at least, everytime John builds a pair. He hates the hide and threatens that the pair he's building, "is the last stingray boots" he ever makes...But the finished product is so beautiful he recants each time. We have Stingray in all the basic colors.All our boots and shoes are handmade by John Allen Woodward here in our studio. John starts with the finest hides money can buy. Over 350 steps go into these handmade boots. Some of John's hand tools are collectable antiques he has purchased from around the world,some over a hundred years old.The process is slow but as John says often."nothing good comes cheap fast or easy" . We have most of our hides in over 20 colors,in the classic glossy or matte finish . All our boots are available in various toe and heel styles,custom made to measure or standard boot sizes .
